Hello, and welcome to the Young Adult blog!
.... that was a start? Now what?
I guess I could talk about how good my teens are that come to my programs. Or I could promote the programs I have here at the Coachella Libarary. Or even promote other library's programming. Oh hey, how about I promote their teens and the wonderful job they do volunteering or participating?
Yes, I could talk about all that. And I guess I will over time.
Young adults are finally getting some recognition. It's hard for them naturally, having to be in that transition age of childhood and adulthood. I've always understood them because mentally, between you and me, I've been a teen at heart ever since well, I've been a teen, hehe!
This summer am looking forward to having a YA group panel at All Staff Day. Suggested ideas we would like to present is how to keep the teens going year round instead of just having them concentrated in summer programs. Books, crafts and types of programming will most certainly be discussed.
March is coming like a lion - or a hare. Lot's of cool events at the library to promote and do. I wish I could visit each and every one of them to see how they are run. A comparison if you will. Don't be surprised if I do show up on your doorstep to do just that. 
Well, enough about general thoughts. Next time, we'll get into some nitty gritty!
