It used to be that when I heard that a book I enjoyed was being made into a film, I would groan inwardly. However, after a few adaptations that have turned out quite well, I now take a “wait and see” attitude towards these films.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that some of the strongest anti-war statements made are in war films?   

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that some of the strongest anti-war statements made are in war films? The most recent, and acclaimed, film of this nature is “The Hurt Locker” directed by Kathryn Bigelow.
